Welcome
The Charleston Bible Society, established in 1810, in Charleston, South Carolina, is an interdenominational Christian Ministry that provides Holy Bibles to those who need, desire, and want to learn God's Word. The Bibles collected by its members from churches, individuals, and other sources are distributed to local shelters, churches, prisons, and other ministries, as well as nationally and internally through missions and missionaries, charities, and churches during times of need and opportunity to educate those who seek to know God through scripture.
The Charleston Bible Society desires to implement its mission through the following visions and plans:
-
- Spread the Word of God through distribution of Bibles.
-
- Act as a local mission with a global vision to serve God's people.
-
- Educate the uninformed, particularly in prisons and shelters of God's love and forgiveness.
-
- Inspire the Christian community, locally and throughout, to read, reflect, and pray on God's word and the Gospel.
-
- Inspire Christians to attend church of their choice.
-
- Expand the membership of the Society.
-
- Spread the vision and goals of the Society through word of mouth, meetings, mass media and the internet.
